Ben's first show will air Sunday, June 21 at 10 pm on WPLR 99.1. Ben will be on the show every couple of months to promote New London's (alive and screaming) music scene. Tune in if you can!

The Rivergods & the Hoolios this Saturday 5/9

Greetings, all!

The Rivergods and the Hoolios return to Stashes this Saturday, May 9th for a back-to-back bill of original roots rock. The show gets started around 9 with a quick changeover planned between bands for maximum musical enjoyment. As usual with we get together with the Hools, there's bound to be some interband fireworks. The Hools have also added some 'heavy metal' to their instrument line-up... you'll have to be there to find out what it is! Hope you can join us; here's the details:

Saturday, May 9
The Rivergods & the Hoolios
Stash's Cafe
95 Pequot Avenue, New London, CT
443-1095
9 p.m.

Before that, from 6-9, Rivergod Trevor Chandonnait and Superbalder Steve Elci will be performing at a CD release party for Steve's new solo CD "Ordinary Man" at the Hygienic Art Gallery. Stop by for an earful (and a glassful of something!) and then head over to Stash's. More details at http://www.steveelci.com

The Sinner's Circle debuted last month, and by all measures, was a great success! Ben joined songwriters Jim Carpenter, Hugh Birdsall and John Fries, swapping songs in the round for over two hours at the Bean and Leaf. The foursome closed with spirited covers of "The Weight" and "Cocaine Blues". Over $320 was raised for the New London Community Meal Center, so a big thanks to everyone who came and donated. More Circles are being planned, and we're widening the circle... so stay tuned!

Lastly, we're lining up some summer dates, including a return to Michael's Dairy on June 18, so mark your calendars. More on that and other shows in future e-mails...

That's all for now... hope to see you at Stash's!

Stay dry-

Happy (Belated) New Year!

Welcome to the temporary Web home of the Rivergods. For the time being, as we revamp and rethink our old Website, this blog will serve as the source for the latest and greatest goings on of the Rivergods.

First off, we want to report that our benefit for the New London Homeless Hospitality Center in December raised $330, which they were very grateful to recieve. Thank you to all who attended the show, and for your donations to a very worthy cause.

Some Rivergods' live dates in the works... keep checking back. To sign up for our e-mail list, send us an e-mail here.
